    About Rebecca Lowry Superintendent

    A school psychologist with Cumberland Therapies since July 2016, Rebecca Lowry builds upon a decade of experience as a school superintendent. She holds a doctor of philosophy in educational leadership from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, and both a master of science in school psychology and an education specialist degree in school psychology/special education from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. Rebecca Lowry also holds a bachelor of arts in music education from Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virginia.

    Over the course of her career, she has served tenures as chief academic officer with Cleveland Municipal School District in Cleveland, Ohio, and associate and assistant superintendent roles with Dayton Public Schools in Dayton, Ohio, and the Chichester School District in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania. As the superintendent of Westmoreland County Public Schools in Montross, Virginia, from 2011 to 2015, she managed curriculum development and oversaw the daily activities of approximately 300 employees and 2,000 students.
